The Mortgage Process « Education

Whether buying a home for the first time, buying a dream home or refinancing a home; it is important to know that you are getting the best financial advice possible.

That is what we do best!

A mortgage is a big decision and we understand that at Security Home Mortgage.

First, know what programs are available and decide which one is best for you.

Will you be renting this property?

How big is your family/future family?

How long do you plan to occupy the home? 3-5 years or 30 years?

What is your breakeven point if you are choosing to refinance?

Second, assess your financial stability to calculate the correct loan amount and monthly payment.

How does a mortgage fit into your overall financial plan?

What is the best monthly payment for your income?

What if your finances change for better or worse down the road, what kind of flexibility will you need?

Depending on your answers to these questions, your Loan Officer will help you find the best loan program and mortgage payment to suit your needs. From there, they will take you through the loan processes to make it the best and easiest experience possible.
